High School Information, Reviews, and Search
Many parents worry and stress about the choice of finding local high schools for their child, as it can be one of the most defining moments of their academic careers.
Public high schools often have a stigma of not being as elite or comprehensive as private schools – however, some public high schools have perennially established themselves on top of high school rating lists by having high test scores, a varied class curriculum, and highly rated extracurricular activities. On the other hand, some public high schools can have large class sizes (which make it difficult for your child to stand out and receive personalized attention) and inflexible education options.
Private high schools attempt to alleviate some of the issues that can be presented by public high schools with fundraisers and parental support. Tuition is definitely a concern, as the costs for a top private high school can easily exceed tens of thousands of dollars per year - but sometimes the quality of education more than makes up for it.
